And what is better? To let one's dream refresh to the extent that it informs one or to let it die out into the growing day? I did have a dream and when I woke up I couldn't remember the dream but I picked up a book by my bedside and began reading it. It was a fairly good, non-specialist book on modern physics. Each word and sentence seemed to have more life to it than I had read before. It seemed fresh and alive with the intellect connecting at the speed of light all the obscure things I had missed in a previous reading. I credit this to a dream that has done its work and needed no more amplification.
