Oh Woman, you want everything to occur whatever the consequences. You expect a miracle.
The poet often thanked God for action that shook morbidity from the inward dwelling to see that things are simpler than they appear.
"Oh woman, you will not get me down. I know your prime secret."
She was always trying
to anticipate the future. The future unfolded before her inner eye. Three, four, five
alternatives ways appeared and she invariably sabotaged the alternative most displeasing
to her. It didn't matter who stood in the way.
The woman was a mean disillusionment that he faced with a greater dread than that of
making a living or keeping appearances. Disillusionment affected every syllable in his
vocabulary. It was good to have a sense of humor.
But then a day would appear full of grace and good feeling. He would shout out,
"Pray for those who fear the world because of its terrible speed! Light is the great
speed!"
"Pray for those who are mesmerized by money. The spirit is the great freedom."
