Chapter 1 

SPACE

It was a slow slog through the transformations of the universe that mattered. I was witness to a few; galaxies colliding with other galaxies and the universe wheeling as one from one dimension to another so everything was different.

Did I think during this time? Yes, I thought as I had never thought before. At first there was a collision of thoughts because nothing made sense. Then as I gained more experience I thought with a clarity that surprised me. After all, my mind was often in conflict over the ridiculous and the sublime. Two halves of the same thing fighting to the death! Life made sense to me when I realized that. History made some sense and all that fighting life that escapes history. I saw why the fight between the two halves had been personified and put into action in books and movies, in the theater and even the office of the psychologist. And for those who thought big the two halves could be between the human being as a product of life and nature and the universe that would evaporate that life in less than a moment. If only the mind knew! It had the potential I suppose, it was embedded in there someplace but common sense spoke volumes. “You can’t pit the human
