Chapter 1

SPACE

From a distance you see the sun and the dots that go around it. Jupiter and the rings of Saturn stand out. You want to get close enough so the Earth is tinted a bit in blue and green, just enough to differentiate it from the others. You can’t see the moon. It’s tough to see because you see everything you ever knew or did in that dot. “I’m supposed to see this,” I thought.

I heard the roar of unknown mountains in the seas of wonderful mysteries. Were they planets? I didn’t know. Who heard with me, that’s what I kept asking myself.

One surface was nothing but a structure that stretched the whole of it and under it were pods of light that were the translations of wishes from all over the universe. Those who had the key at any rate. These pods of light moved rapidly, never stopping, never resting and if you listened closely they made a wonderful sort of music whirling about collecting information, dispensing information to be brought back to the senders. It was considered a useful leverage.
